MILK
FOR THE CHILD FUND
Would you give milk to a famished child?
M ilk is very essential to life
growth and development.
Everyone needs milk. Much as it
is important, there are children who do not
even get the cheapest yet most valuable type of
milk which is the breast milk. Several reasons can be given for this. As
a result, their physical growth is affected, mental development is
retarded. Lament. 4:4 says "The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth
to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, and
no man breaketh it unto them. " (KJV).
Do you know there are some children who do not have access to Daily
Milk? It is not because they are in remote places or out of
Communication coverage. The only reason is that they cannot afford it.
Would you be used of God to give such children the "Milk" needed for
spiritual growth? A copy of Daily Milk (now in full colour) is N350
The 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000 or more copies you pay for will be
distributed free to such children. This way, you would have helped to
catch them young for Christ. Last year, N83,400 was realized from
contribution for which we are very grateful.

Jeremiah 45:1-5
I will let you live
This short chapter ends the first
section of the book of the prophet
Jeremiah which dealt with God's
judgment on Judah (46-51 is
prophecy against other Nations and
52 is historical supplement). After
surviving the fall of Jerusalem,
Jeremiah was forcefully taken to
Egypt, yet he remained faithful in
spite of Jerusalem's destruction.
Years of obedience had made him
strong and courageous.
In this passage, we have a message
of encouragement from God,
through Jeremiah, for Baruch. He
had been a faithful servant to God and
Jeremiah. However, he had become
discouraged. It seems he was
discouraged because of the king's
reaction to God's message which
Baruch read out to him. Notice the
promise God gave him through
Jeremiah in v.5.
However, God did not promise that
things would be easy for any of his
servants, neither for Jeremiah (see
1:17-19), nor for Baruch (v.2-5).
And he does not promise us an easy
life either. What he promises is his
abiding presence and help (Isaiah
43:1-5). See also Matthew 28:20b;
Romans 8:28.
Let us not be discouraged if the going
seems tough. Let us be among the
over comers. See the promises God
gave to the over comers at the end of
each of the seven letters to the churches
in Revelation chapters 2 and 3.
So: God does not forsake the
righteous
S.U. Chorus: If all were easy if all
were bright, where will the cross be
where would the fight, But in the hard
place God gives to me chances o
proving what He can do.
Prayer: Thank you Lord, for calling
me to follow you. Help me never to
give up but, despite all opposition,
keep me going strong to the end.
